Hezbollah Raises Red Flag at Al-Rahib Base Amid Gaza Bombardment

In response to the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza and recent escalations, Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance movement, has raised a striking red flag at the Al-Rahib military base. Unlike their traditional yellow flag, sources within Hezbollah report that this red banner represents the call for vengeance.

The raising of the red flag occurred at the “Al-Rahib” site, situated along the border between occupied Palestine and Lebanon, as reported by Al-Manar Channel.

Reacting to this symbolic gesture, the Israeli army has announced the isolation of an area extending up to 4km (2.5 miles) from the northern border with Lebanon, implementing strict restrictions on public access.

This action follows Hezbollah’s admission of responsibility for firing a missile at the northern border village of Shtula in occupied Palestine, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. Confirming their successful targeting of an Israeli Merkava tank at the “Al-Rahib” military site using anti-tank guided missiles, Hezbollah reported casualties among the tank’s crew. The Israeli occupation army has acknowledged the operation.

Notably, this marks the second consecutive targeting operation claimed by Hezbollah on the same day. Earlier, a military outpost near the Lebanese border in the settlement of “Shtula” was also targeted by the resistance faction with anti-tank guided missiles.

In a statement, Hezbollah cited the operation as a response to Israeli aggression against a team of journalists in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of Lebanese Reuters reporter Issam Abdallah and injuries to other colleagues. Additionally, it serves as retaliation for the Israeli shelling of a civilian home in Shebaa, resulting in the deaths of two elderly Lebanese civilians: Khalil Ali Hashem and Rabab Al-Aaqoum.

Concurrently, the Israeli occupation military has confirmed one Israeli fatality and five injuries as a consequence of these recent events. Israeli media reports this as the fifth Israeli killed within a week in operations conducted by Hezbollah.

On Saturday, Hezbollah declared the targeting of five Israeli occupation military sites in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms, with precise impacts recorded.
